Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The Ampeg SVT 50th Anniversary Celebration Contest (the "Contest") and these Official Rules are governed, construed, and interpreted under the laws of the United States. Valid only to legal United States residents (excluding Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands and Guam) who are eighteen (18) years of age and older at time of entry. No one under the age of 18 may attempt to enter or submit any personal information. All federal, state, local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited, taxed, licensed or restricted by law.
CONTEST PERIOD. This Contest begins March 1st, 2020 and ends October 31, 2020 ("Contest Period").
CONTEST SPONSOR. This Contest is sponsored and administered by Yamaha Guitar Group, Inc., 26580 Agoura Road, Calabasas, California 91302 (the "Sponsor"). Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and any decisions made by Sponsor.
ENTER ON-LINE BY: Subscribe at www.ampeg.com/SVT50contest during the Contest Period and following the on-screen instructions, which include that participants must: (i) share experiences/stories about the Ampeg SVT bass amplifier using videos or photographs (the “Submission”) uploaded to their Instagram accounts using the hashtag #SVT50; and (ii) follow Ampeg on Instagram.
All entries are deemed made by the holder of the participating Instagram account. All on-line entries must be received no later than October 31st, 2020.
By posting their Submission using the hashtag #SVT50, participants willfully enter the Contest and represent that they have all necessary rights to grant a license to the Sponsor to publish and re-use all or any portion of their Submission for any purpose without compensation and that they hereby grant such license together with the right to use their name. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Submission due to technical, legal, clearance or other problems, or which it deems to be disparaging, unlawful, inappropriate, offensive, obscene, pornographic, demeaning or otherwise not in good taste, or otherwise in breach of these Official Rules, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Only one (1) entry per person. If multiple entries are received from any person or Instagram account, all subsequent entries will be disqualified. All entries submitted will be used for the purpose of selecting the Prizewinner as described in these Official Rules.
WINNER SELECTION. Judges from Sponsor’s staff will determine the prizewinners (“Prizewinners”) from among all eligible entries that were timely received, on the basis of the creativity and originality of their Submissions.
PRIZES.
April Prizewinner - One (1) Prizewinner. The April Prizewinner will receive one (1) Classic Analog Bass Preamp pedal (ARV: $139.99) and will be notified by Instagram direct message on or about May 7, 2020.
July Prizewinner - One (1) Prizewinner. The July Prizewinner will receive one (1) Classic Analog Bass Preamp pedal (ARV: $139.99) and will be notified by Instagram direct message on or about August 7, 2020.
August Prizewinner - One (1) Prizewinner. The August Prizewinner will receive one (1) BA-210 2x10″ Bass Combo (ARV: $699.99) and will be notified by Instagram direct message on or about August 7, 2020.
October Prizewinner - One (1) Prizewinner. The October Prizewinner will receive one (1) Opto Comp Analog Optical Compressor pedal (ARV: $139.99) and will be notified by Instagram direct message on or about November 7, 2020.
All Prizewinners will have fifteen (15) business days to claim their prizes and must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within ten (10) business days of notification.

A disqualification will result and an alternate winner will be randomly selected if the above documents are not signed and returned within the designated time, a prize notification is refused, an entrant is found to be ineligible or non-compliant with these Official Rules, or the prize remains unclaimed for over 15 business days. There is no substitution for any prize or portion thereof, except due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded at the discretion of Sponsor. Prizes are not transferable, assignable or redeemable for cash. The Prizewinner will be fully responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes.
All entries are subject to verification prior to awarding of prizes. Eligibility, age, and claims made by Prizewinners also are subject to verification prior to awarding of prizes.
GENERAL CONDITIONS. The Sponsor makes no warranties, express or implied.
Employees and their immediate family members (defined as spouses, parents, children and legal dependents – including foster and step family members, grandparents, grandchildren, brothers and sisters) or person(s) living in the same household of an employee of Sponsor or Sponsor’s officers, directors, agents, and independent contractors are not eligible to enter this Contest.
PRIVACY STATEMENT. Participants’ personal information, in conjunction with this Contest will be utilized by Sponsor for the sole purpose of selecting and notifying the Prizewinner and will be kept only as long as required by law. Unless otherwise authorized by a participant, participants’ information will not be sold, rented, or given to any other third party. Notwithstanding the foregoing privacy statement and policy, if selected as Prizewinner, Prizewinner agrees, except where prohibited, to grant Sponsor and its parent company and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, and agents the right to use his/her name, entry contents, visual and audio likeness, biographical data, and statements for any purpose, including but not limited to any commercial or publicity purpose, in perpetuity and throughout the universe, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without additional compensation or consideration.
RELEASE, INDEMNIFICATION, AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. By entering, participants, their agents, assigns, and successors release Sponsor and its parent company and their respective trustees, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, directors, officers, employees, agents, independent contractors, promotional partners, and prize providers from any and all liability for any costs or expenses resulting from entry in the Contest and from any and all liability whatsoever, including, without limitation, for any injuries, death, losses, or damages of any kind caused by or in connection with any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, quality, use, or misuse of any prize, or any portion of any prize, or parts thereof (including any travel or activity related thereto). All entrants further agree that in the event of any third party claims, damages, losses, injuries, or death arising from or relating to the Contest, and any prizewinner’s use of any prize, they will indemnify Sponsor from any and all such claim, including attorney’s fees related thereto.
Sponsor and its parent company and their respective trustees, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, directors, officers, employees, agents, and independent contractors are not responsible for any kind of computer transmission, electronic, hardware, internet, software, network, technical, or telephone failures and any damaged, delayed, garbled, illegible, incomplete, late, lost, misplaced, misaddressed, misdirected, or stolen mail or e-mail.
Participant agrees that by entering this Contest, Sponsor may seek damages from participant if participant deliberately damages Sponsor’s website or any other website in conjunction with participant’s partaking in this Contest or if participant interferes with the legitimate operation of this Contest, it is in violation of civil or criminal law.
If, in Sponsor’s exclusive judgment, this Contest becomes compromised in any way, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the Contest offer, cancel any method of entry, and/or select the prizewinner from all eligible entries received prior to the withdrawal.
FORCE MAJEURE: Without limiting any other provision in these Official Rules, in the event that any of the entrants’ activities or the Sponsor’s operations or activities are affected, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, including, without limitation, by reason of any acts of God, any action, regulation, order or request by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action, regulations, order or request proves to be invalid), equipment failure, threatened terrorist acts, terrorist acts, air raid, blackout, act of public enemy, earthquake, war (declared or undeclared), fire, flood, epidemic or public health crisis, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any law, rule, regulation, order or other action adopted or taken by any governmental, federal, state, or local government authority, or any other cause, whether or not specifically mentioned above, subject to any governmental approval that may be required, Sponsor shall have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest and Sponsor shall not be responsible or liable to any entrant or prize winner or any person claiming through such entrant or prize winner for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof. Sponsor is not responsible for electronic communications that are undeliverable as a result of any form of active or passive filtering of any kind, or insufficient space in entrant’s e-mail account to receive e-mail messages.
WINNERS LIST. For a printed copy of the Official Rules or a Winners List, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Yamaha Guitar Group, Inc. - "The Ampeg SVT 50th Anniversary Celebration Contest”, 26580 Agoura Road, Calabasas, California 91302. Residents of Vermont with a return address in Vermont may omit the return postage on their request. Winners List replies will be sent after completion of the Contest.
