Ampeg® Venture® Series amps and cabs set the professional standard on all counts—and because FOH engineers worldwide already know and trust Ampeg tone, soundchecks are faster and easier than ever.
The Venture Series comprises the Venture V3, Venture V7, and Venture V12 heads and the Venture VB-112, Venture VB-115, Venture VB-210, Venture VB-212 8 Ohm, Venture VB-212 4 Ohm, Venture VB-410, and Venture VB-88 cabs.
With their easy-to-use and intuitive controls, Venture Series amplifiers offer an extensive array of tone-shaping tools that include a 3-band EQ with sweepable Mids, Ultra Hi and 3-way Ultra Lo switches, and a Super Grit Technology™ (SGT™) Overdrive circuit with SVT® and B15 voicings. The Venture V12 and Venture V7 amplifiers also include a highly musical variable compressor. An effects loop, an XLR direct output, an Aux input, and a Phones output enhance connectivity. All circuitry is analog except for the solid-state Class D amplifiers. Add an optional AFS2 footswitch for remote control of the SGT overdrive and mute and an optional heavy-duty padded Venture carrying bag.
Venture Series cabinets are available in the most popular configurations, enabling bassists to choose the right cab, or combination of cabs, for any gig—and the VB-212 4 ohm speaker cabinet provides maximum power output when paired with any Venture head in a single-cab setup. These stylish lightweight cabinets are ruggedly constructed and covered in carbon fiber-style Tolex, so they’ll hold up gig after gig. Optional Portaflex®-style grille assemblies offer a vintage aesthetic alternative. They are loaded with lightweight custom-voiced Lavoce® neodymium woofers and high-frequency drivers. Protect your Venture cab with an optional heavy-duty padded cover.

Powerful EQ Section
Tone-shaping tools include a 3-Band EQ section with Sweepable Mid Circuit and Ultra Hi and 3-way Ultra Lo switches.
SGT Overdrive Section
Switches between tube-like Ampeg SVT or legendary B15 tone while also controlling the "grit" and overall level.
Balanced XLR Line Out
Send your tailored sound to a front-of-house or recording console, pre- or post-EQ. Ground Lift and 0/-20dB switch included.
Effects Loop with Mix Control (V7 & V12 only)
Insert external effects. Venture V7 and V12 also include a Mix control to adjust the balance of the effect and dry signal levels.
Compression (V12, V7)
Compression evens out the dynamics of your performance and increases sustain. Use the Compression control to adjust the threshold or point at which compression is applied.
Additional Controls
Mute: Silences the output to the speakers and Line Out. Mute can be accessed remotely via the optional Ampeg® AFS2 Footswitch. The SGT On/Off switch is disabled when a footswitch is connected to the Switch jack.
Additional I/O
Use the 3.5mm Aux input to connect external audio devices, enabling you to play along with your music. The Phones output provides a silent practice option.
Class D Power
The Class-D power amp results in a lighter power section because no heavy transformers, power supplies, or heat sinks are required.
Variable High-Frequency Attenuator
Adjusts the high-frequency level coming from the horn.

Venture V12
The compact 1200-watt Venture V12 is the largest and most powerful of the three heads in the Venture Series and is optimized for professional bassists on the go. It features a legacy preamp with a 3-band EQ, Ultra Hi/Ultra Lo switches, an SGT overdrive with SVT and B15 voicings, and a variable compressor.
Venture V7
The compact 700-watt Venture V7 occupies the middle position of the three heads in the Venture Series and is optimized for professional bassists on the go. It features a legacy preamp with a 3-band EQ, Ultra Hi/Ultra Lo switches, an SGT overdrive with SVT and B15 voicings, and a variable compressor.
Venture V3
The ultra-compact 300-watt Venture V3 is the smallest and lightest of the three heads in the Venture Series and is optimized for professional bassists on the go. It features a legacy preamp with a 3-band EQ, Ultra Hi/Ultra Lo switches, and an SGT overdrive with SVT and B15 voicings.
Venture VB-88
The compact Venture VB-88 weighs only 67 pounds (30.4 kilograms) yet handles 800 watts RMS/1600 watts Program power (4Ω), making it ideal for pros on the go. It’s loaded with eight 8" Lavoce neodymium woofers and a variable high-frequency driver.
Venture VB-410
The compact Venture VB-410 weighs only 42 pounds (19 kilograms) yet handles 600 watts RMS/1200 watts Program power (8Ω), making it ideal for pros on the go. It’s loaded with four 10" Lavoce neodymium woofers and a variable high-frequency driver.
Venture VB-212 4 Ohm
The compact Venture VB-212 4 Ohm bass cab provides maximum power output when paired with a Venture head in a single-cab setup. It weighs 40 pounds (18.1 kilograms) and handles 500 watts RMS/1000 watts Program power (4Ω). It is loaded with two custom-voiced Lavoce neodymium woofers and a variable high-frequency driver.
Venture VB-212 8 Ohm
The compact Venture VB-212 8 Ohm weighs only 40 pounds (18.1 kilograms) yet handles 500 watts RMS/1000 watts Program power (8Ω), making it ideal for pros on the go. It’s loaded with two 12" Lavoce neodymium woofers and a variable high-frequency driver.
Venture VB-210
The compact Venture VB-210 weighs only 28 pounds (12.7 kilograms) yet handles 300 watts RMS/600 watts Program power (8Ω), making it ideal for pros on the go. It’s loaded with two 10" Lavoce neodymium woofers and a variable high-frequency driver.
Venture VB-115
The compact Venture VB-115 weighs only 34 pounds (15.4 kilograms) yet handles 250 watts RMS/500 watts Program power (8Ω), making it ideal for pros on the go. It’s loaded with a 15" Lavoce neodymium woofer and a variable high-frequency driver.
